Born in 1970 in Aichi Prefecture, after graduating from Kobe Design University of Fine Arts and Technology, he joined Cavia Corporation after working for Namco Corporation and Sony 

Computer Entertainment Corporation. 

After gaining experience as a designer, He directed the 'Drakengard' series and 'NieR Gestalt/Replicant'.

After leaving Cavia, he started Bukkoro Co., Ltd. and released 'NieR Automata' in 2017 and 'NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139' in April 2021.

In recent years, he has been widely active in smartphone apps such as 'SINoALICE' and 'NieR Re[in]carnation,' manga 'Thou Salt Not Die,' 'Yoshinoya Brothers' and stage original works.
