Lis Moberly serves as the Creative Lead of 20th Century Games at The Walt Disney Company.
She has worn a variety of hats in game development, but in the last few years she has spent the bulk of her time as a game writer and narrative designer, working with companies such as Obsidian Entertainment, WB Avalanche, and Chuhai Labs.
She has worked on games such as Avowed, Cursed to Golf, and We Went Back, among others.
As a former university lecturer, Lis applies her academic focus to topics critical to game development, such as game dev burnout, feedback, collaboration, and institutional memory.
She also publishes essays examining games through the lens of literary criticism.
Her most recent contribution was an examination of postmemory theory through the datapoints found in Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West in,
