In 1994, he joined the editorial department of Weekly Famitsu as a part-time employee.
After that, he worked as a journalist covering various game articles and news pages, including event interviews.
In 2013, he was appointed Editor-in-Chief of Weekly Famitsu, where he covered game creators, development sites, and took an active role across a wide range of areas.
Since April 2024, he has been serving as the Representative of the Famitsu Group.

Focusing on the symbolic setting of “The Oni Before Your Eyes,” they will discuss how emotion, combat, and narrative intertwine in their work, while also sharing messages for younger creators and Korean developers.
Through a dialogue between two masters who have expanded human imagination and emotion through the medium of games, the audience will gain rare insight into the essence of creation and the future of the art form.

The Creation and Legacy of Dragon Quest
Legendary creator Yuji Horii reflects on the origins and evolution of Dragon Quest, the series that shaped the archetype of RPG storytelling.
The session explores how he balances innovation and tradition, preserves the essence of “Dragon Quest-ness,” and reimagines classic titles like Dragon Quest III in the modern era.
